I had a very similar event to this. I was living in Iowa and had always wanted an item of clothing with the University of Okoboji on it. It is a fake University that a clothing store near Spirit Lake Iowa has taken to a new level of marketing. Shirts, caps, even the little window sticker for your back window. I walked into the store and wasn't ten feet inside when someone yelled across the store "How tall are you?" I told him 6' 5", so he yells back, "there is a rack of tall mens clothes right over there, check it out before you leave, I'll be with you in a minute". Sure enough, I had bought my University of Okoboji shirt and ended up buying two shirts off of the sale rack. I was sold, but I was recognized when I first came in the door and pointed in a direction I did not plan on going. Pretty good sales job.
